Welcome from Rev. James R. Carter

rev jim carter 200Welcome to New Presbyterian Church! We hope you will join us for Sunday Morning worship, and that you will truly enjoy your time with us. By God’s grace it is our desire to create an environment of grace and peace that is shaped and informed by Scripture so that in all things Christ will be glorified. At New Presbyterian, our goal is simple:

Excellence in all things, and all things for God’s glory!

As followers of Christ, our foundation for life and ministry comes from the Holy Scriptures. Through the Scriptures we learn God’s will for our lives so that we may live what we believe as we seek to honor Christ in all that we do. The Bible teaches that we are saved by faith alone, but not an idle faith that stands alone; therefore, it is our desire to live out our faith together for God’s glory. To achieve this goal, we strive to honor God with our worship, fellowship, education, and outreach.

We are also a Confessional church committed to the biblical doctrines of Grace – better known as Reformed Theology. This means our understanding of Christianity is best summarized in the historic creeds and confessions (specifically the Westminster Confession of Faith and Westminster Catechisms). Very simply, we aren’t trying to invent something new; rather we are excited about making the historic truth relevant to our lives today.

As our faith is in Christ-alone, we also agree that our faith is not left to stand-alone. Our intent is to practically and joyfully live out our calling to “glorify God and enjoy Him forever” in four major areas of emphasis. We call these distinctions, the Four Pillars:

Reverent Worship | Evangelism | A Christian World & Life View | Reformed Theology

carter family 450With these Four Pillars – rooted in God’s Word and Christ’s love – we will use our gifts and talents in a balanced way to serve one another and the greater community. Included in this brochure you will find further explanations of our ministry priorities and contacts that will help you connect with broader community of New Presbyterian Church.

We hope you will join us on Sunday Morning, and look forward to knowing you and serving Christ together. If you have any questions, needs, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me or any of our staff. We are here to serve!

Joyfully Yours,

Rev. James R. Carter
